How to Make Fimo Beads

It is easy to make fimo beads. Fimo beads can be used as great pieces of imitation jewelry. However, one of the parts of how to make fimo beads that you should know is that it can take a good amount of time to do it, but it can definitely bring out your creative side.

The first part of learning how to make fimo beads involving knowing what they’re made of. Fimo beads come from synthetic materials that are like clay. It can be easily merged into various designs for necklaces and other pieces of jewelry. For this tutorial on how to make fimo beads we’ll look at an easier pattern.

To make the process of how to make fimo beads easier you will need all of the right materials. Fimo bead material can be found at craft stores, along with a clasp and thread. An oven and a cake pan are also needed. A large pin and a blade for cutting will be needed at the end.

The next part of how to make fimo beads is to start with the bead that you are going to put in the center of your jewelry. Pinch out a slice of fimo from a larger compound of fimo material. The slice should be the size of a quarter. It should then be rubbed in a circular state with your hands to the point where it gets warm.

A piece that is about as large as a nickel will need to be poked out from the fimo material. It should then be rolled on a flat surface. Be sure that this log is about three inches in length and is not larger in thickness than a pencil. Three other logs will be made apiece of each other color.

The logs should be placed after they are made to be arranged in a prism shape. The fimo should be pinched to mold the logs into a triangle shape. The base of one color should be pressed around the log of another color so that it can be attached, and then the base of the third color should be pressed on a space not taken by the first color.

The last part of how to make fimo beads is to roll the new log that came from this last step down until it becomes smooth. The fimo will then be cut to a quarter-inch thick and rolled so that the shape of the fimo beads are not affected. A large pin will create a hole across the beads after it is poked on the sides, and then it should be put into a baking pan and baked until it becomes hard.

This is how to make fimo beads. With the right process you can get fimo beads to be made so that they are strong and beautiful.
